Original Art Commission Process

Thank you for your interest in a commissioned original piece of art! Commissions are created for you and are unique to your space. It is yours to be proud of and enjoy forever!

• The 2024 commission process can be done in person or virtually. First we will chat via email, phone or video, whichever you prefer. to get a sense of the project.

• Then I will send an invoice and contract. A 50% deposit and signed contract is due before we move onto the next step.

• You’ll provide materials that will help me create your dream piece of art, like photos of your space, links to the paintings that attracted you to my style, and all your color and style inspirations.

• If you haven’t already, we’ll decide on a color palette that is perfect for your space. I’ll curate 2-3 color schemes for you to choose from, using your information from the questionnaire and photos you sent, and wait for your opinion and approval of one of the schemes.

• I shop for all the supplies that I’ll need to create your stunning new piece of art, and begin painting!

When do we know when the painting is done?

When I believe the painting is done, I send you a well-lit photo of it hanging on a wall, and ask for your honest feedback. If it is exactly how you envisioned it - if your eyes and your soul are deeply in love - I will varnish it, let it dry, and safely package and ship it! However, if you aren’t 100% amazed with it yet, we will work together until you are. Once approved, I ask for the remainder of the payment before I ship it to you with tracking.

How much does an original art commission cost?
